Straight lines, soft wood.
A tall headboard. Two panels of reeds. A low frame on turned feet.
Volterra’s character comes from repetition. Dozens of narrow reeds, cut into solid rubberwood, run top to bottom across the headboard and around the footboard. From across the room they read as one warm surface. Up close, each reed has its own grain.
Walnut gives the reeds depth. Natural and Beige keep them light.
