The Vitorchiano story

One tube. Two arms. An oval back.

Each front leg carries on straight up past the seat, bends back in one smooth curve and becomes the arm. The two arms run back and join a curved hoop that wraps round behind the back pad.

The rear legs rise straight up past the seat to hold the back. Below the seat there is nothing but four straight legs, each on a small glide.

The back pad is a soft horizontal oval, the seat a rounded pad on a thin tube frame. Both are covered in a nubby Pearl Grey bouclé-texture fabric.

The materials

Pearl grey loops, antique bronze.

The frame is iron tube in an antique bronze finish: a warm, dark, satin bronze colour.

The fabric is 90% polyester and 10% acrylic, with a nubby bouclé texture of small pale loops on grey. The pads are filled with PU foam and polyester fibre.

Antique Bronze

One finish on every tube: legs, arms, hoop and rails.

Pearl Grey

The same bouclé-texture fabric on the back pad and the seat.

The frame

Open all round.

The frame is open from every side: four straight legs, two arms that are the front legs bent back, a hoop behind the back pad and slim rails at seat height. No stretchers lower down, so the floor shows through.

Living with Vitorchiano
