Torgiano is built from two ideas. The upholstery is soft and low: a seat to settle into and a back that stops where it should. The wood does the drawing: four tapered legs, a rail across the back, and a bent-wood ring for your feet.
The seat is 26.65 inches from the floor. That is counter height.

Up close, the fabric is a tight, flat weave in oatmeal, flecked with tan and brown. A plain wooden apron runs under the seat, so the wood frames the soft part.
