A square top. Four flat sides. Each side carries the same arch.
The arch is built from steps. A narrow centre panel, then six bands around it, each set a little deeper into the side. Side light catches every step, so the arch draws itself in fine shadows.
The steps run out through the bottom edge. The table stands on its four corners.
Natural & Light Brown shows the grain. Black turns the arch into shadow.
A narrow arch-topped panel sits at the centre, about two inches wide. Six bands of about an inch wrap around it. Above the crown and beside it, the wood is left plain.

The arch is cut into the face as steps, not grooves. Each step sits a little deeper than the one outside it.
The top is flat and uncarved. The arch stops short of it, so the cube keeps a clean edge.
The bottom edge rises in small steps toward the middle. A rubber pad sits under each corner.
The body is MDF. The wood-grain finish runs down into every step of the arch.

Up close, each step has a crisp edge and its own run of grain. Side light turns the arch into a set of thin shadows.
The top is one flat square, 18.90 inches each way. Room for a cup, a plant and a phone.
The arch runs out through the bottom edge, so the table stands on its corners. A small black rubber pad sits under each one.
At 19.29 inches high it sits low beside a sofa or a lounge chair, and it works as a small coffee table too.
