Simone’s character comes from the space between them. The back appears to float above the seat, while slender legs leave the lower frame open. You see the chair and the room beyond it in the same glance.
Black makes that outline distinct against pale wood and plaster. Natural brings the same shape closer to the warm tones around it.
The wide back panel rests high on two round posts, leaving a generous opening below. The rear legs continue into those posts, giving the frame a clear line from floor to back.
