Sanremo shows how it is put together. The stretcher passes through a slot in each leg and stops two inches past it, end grain out. The top is 2.4 inches thick and reaches about ten inches past each leg, so the table looks lighter than it is.
Black is the quiet one. Antique Brown keeps the grain warm. Black + Brown sets a black top on light wood legs.
Two slab legs, each 13.8 inches deep, stand under a long top. One stretcher ties them together. Its square ends sit outside the legs, where you can see them.
