Morning light on a pale wall. White linen, two pillows and a folded throw. Recanati’s headboard rises in two soft curves, and the low rounded frame keeps the room calm.

Recanati starts with one line. It rises on the left, dips just past the centre and rises again, a little lower, on the right. A thick rolled border follows that line all the way round, so the padded panel reads like a cushion set into a frame.
Beige keeps it quiet. Forest Green makes it the room.
The padded panel sits proud of a plain lower panel and overhangs it slightly. Below, thick rounded rails wrap the mattress and end in two domed corners on oak ball feet.

The outline is a single curve. A rolled chenille border traces it from one side to the other.
Eight centimetres of high-density foam sit behind the chenille. It is soft to lean on.

The cover is chenille with a fine, nubby weave. Under it, high-density foam on a plywood frame. The feet are solid oak.
Chenille has a soft pile, so it looks a shade lighter or darker from each side. That is the fabric, not a flaw.

The border is thick and round, like a bolster. It follows every curve of the top and runs down both sides.
Below it, the padded panel ends in a straight, rounded edge that steps out over the lower panel.
The rails are 9.25 inches of rounded upholstery, and their top sits 11.81 inches off the floor. At the foot they curve into two domed corners, each on a solid oak ball foot.
Inside, the frame takes a standard Queen or King mattress. It rests on the slats. No box spring.
Limewash walls, walnut nightstands and two lamps. The pale chenille warms in the lamplight.
Cedar walls and a window full of snowy spruce. The soft outline sits easily with pale wood.
A shaped headboard sets the room. Keep the bedding plain and let the curve show above the pillows.
Choose Beige for a light, quiet room. Forest Green is deep and saturated, and comes in Queen only.
Measure the wall for the headboard, not the frame. It is about 1.6 inches wider.
