A low headboard. A wide upholstered rim. Small black feet.
Sun on a white-oak floor. White linen, two pillows and a folded throw. Otranto’s wide rim frames the mattress, and the low headboard keeps the wall calm.
A low headboard. A wide upholstered rim. Small black feet.
Otranto is built around a frame you can see. The rim runs around the sides and the foot, three inches wide on top, and the mattress sits down inside it. The headboard stops at 27.5 inches, so the room keeps its height.
Ivory chenille covers every outside face. Nothing else competes.
The headboard is one padded panel over a flat lower band, with a single straight line between them. The rim wraps the sides and the foot at one height, and the corners stay square.

Square corners and a flat rim, three inches wide on top.
27.5 inches from the floor. A padded panel over a flat band.
Small black feet lift the rim just off the floor.
The upholstery is chenille: a short, soft pile with a fine slubbed weave. Foam padding sits under it. The seller builds the base frame in solid wood.
Wood slats carry the mattress. Black block feet carry the frame.
Soft to the touch, with a fine slubbed weave. The seller rates it breathable, wear-resistant and easy to care for.
The base frame is solid wood. Twelve wood slats rest on centre beams with support legs.
Six support legs under the King, three under the Queen. The load spreads evenly across the slats.
The padded panel sits just proud of a flat lower band. One straight line runs between them, end to end.
Inside the frame the lining is black, so the ivory rim reads clean from every side.
The rim stands 10.5 inches high and three inches wide on top. The slats sit 6.5 inches below its edge, so the mattress sits down inside the frame.
Use an 8 to 12-inch mattress, laid directly on the slats.
Taupe walls, two pleated lamps and walnut nightstands. The ivory rim holds the last of the light.
Cedar walls and a misty window. Otranto keeps its outline simple and lets the wood do the talking.
A wide rim and a low headboard give the bed one clean outline. Plain bedding is enough.
Choose King or Queen. Both stand 27.5 inches high and 87.5 inches long.
The headboard runs the full width of the bed. Leave room to walk around the rim.
