It is made from oak and oak veneer with MDF, and the open oak grain shows through the finish with a soft, lightly textured feel. Gently rounded corners on the top and case soften the long, low shape, and the dresser stands on tapered round legs.

Six wide drawers, arranged in two columns of three, run on ball-bearing glides, and a long bar pull along the top edge of each drawer makes it easy to open. Raised on legs, the dresser leaves space underneath for easier cleaning. It measures 65 in wide, 17.7 in deep and 31.5 in high and weighs 179 lbs. Merritt arrives fully assembled, ready to use once it is in place.
