Loreto bed in white made up with white linen, in a pale blue Halifax bedroom in morning light
At home

Soft white in the harbour light.

Morning comes in off the water. White linen, two pillows and a folded throw. Loreto’s arched headboard and turned finials give the room a quiet, classic outline.

The Loreto story

A classic outline, kept simple.

Two turned finials. Three arched panels. A low footboard on bun feet.

Loreto takes the shapes of a traditional bedroom and keeps them plain. The headboard rises to a soft centre arch and steps down on each side. Moulded outlines give the panels depth without carving.

White keeps it light against pale walls. Walnut gives the same lines a darker, warmer read.

The design

One headboard, three arches.

The headboard board sits between two square posts, each topped with a turned finial. Below it, an open gap and a low rail. At the foot, five recessed fields sit between short square posts on turned bun feet.

Drawn as a classic

The outline comes from the traditional panel bed: arch, finial, bun foot.

The materials

Pine and engineered wood, painted white.

The frame is pine, MDF and plywood. White is an opaque paint, so posts, panels and rails read as one colour.

Round bolt heads show on the footboard posts and the side rails. They hold the frame together, and they stay in view.

Pine and engineered wood

The frame combines pine, MDF and plywood. The ten slats are plywood.

Two finishes

White is an opaque paint. Walnut is a deep espresso brown and comes in Full only.

Rated to 650 lb

Queen rated to 650 lb, Full to 550 lb. Slats on a centre beam with support legs. No box spring needed.

The detail

Get closer to the arch.

Up close, a thin bead runs along the top edge, and each panel has its own raised outline. Light catches the moulding, so the white never looks flat.

The finials are turned: a ball, two rings and a slim vase shape.
