The supports curve down behind the seat and run forward underneath it, so the back seems to float above the seat.
Under the seat, a swivel plate lets it turn a full circle. Four bent legs and a round footrest stand below.
The back panel is about 16.5 inches wide and rises about 11 inches above the seat. The legs bend at the top and meet under the seat, with the footrest about 8 inches off the floor.

Up close, the back cushion covers the whole front of the panel, leaving a thin rim of wood all round it. The seat cushion sits on a layered bentwood shell whose edge shows all the way round.
From behind, the back panel is plain wood in the frame's natural finish. Six round brass-tone caps cover the screws: one near each side of the panel, and two on each support.
