Morning light off the water. Pale boards, a wool rug, one cup on the side table. Faenza is wide enough to curl up in, and the ottoman lets you stretch out.

The Faenza story

One chair, room for a little more.

A chair and a half. A matching ottoman. Storage inside it.

Faenza is made for the corner where you actually sit. The seat is 35 inches between the arms, wide enough to tuck your feet under you. One large back cushion and two throw pillows let you set the back the way you like it.

Push the ottoman against the front and the chair becomes a lounger, 58.6 inches long. Pull it away and it is a footrest. Lift the lid and it holds the blankets.

The design

Slim arms, a deep seat.

The arms are flat panels about an inch and a half thick, so the width goes to the seat. A welt seam runs along the front of the seat cushion. The back cushion and both pillows have a flat flange edge.

The materials

One chenille, four colours.

The cover is chenille. It is soft to the hand and matte, with a fine, even nub that reads like a heavy linen.

Beige is the lightest. Grey, Green and Blue are deeper shades of the same cloth.

The same cloth on the chair, the cushions and the ottoman. Soft, matte, lightly textured.

A large back cushion and two throw pillows, each finished with a flat flange border.

Storage ottoman

37.7 by 26.1 inches, 16.1 inches high. The lid lifts and the compartment is lined in black.

Get closer to the weave.

Up close the chenille has a small, even nub. It takes the light softly and does not shine.

The pillows lean into the corners against the arms, where your back and elbows want them.

The ottoman

Lift the lid.

The top of the ottoman is a padded lid with a fabric loop to lift it. Underneath is a compartment lined in black, for throws, pillows and remotes.

Closed, it is a footrest level with the seat. Pushed against the chair, it makes a lounger 58.6 inches long.

A chair and a half fills a reading corner without the length of a sofa. The ottoman goes where you need it: under your feet, against the seat, or beside the chair with the lid up.
