Product Highlights

  • Italian leather, front to back: distressed full-aniline leather from Gruppo Mastrotto covers every surface, so the natural grain and rich tonal character show from every angle.
  • Power recline at the arm end: one power recliner on the arm-end seat, with a one-piece footrest the full width of the seat.
  • A power headrest: the recliner seat’s headrest rises for head and neck support, to an overall height of 38.9 in (99 cm).
  • Zero Wall design: needs just 9 cm (3.5 in) behind it, so it can sit close to the wall and leave more of the room open.
  • A low, clean profile: a low back and a panelled end arm, with the seat 18.7 in (47.5 cm) off the floor.
  • Comfort built to last: foam, polyester fibre and feather cushioning on a kiln-dried hardwood frame, rated to 300 lb per seat.
  • Left or right chaise: choose the side that suits your room, same price either way.

Leather

Full leather.
Not leather match.

Many reclining sofas are leather only where you touch them; the sides and back are vinyl dyed the same colour. The trade calls it leather match. Emery is the same distressed aniline hide everywhere: seats, backs, headrest, arms, sides and the back.

Made in the hide

You can feel it before you sit down.

Gruppo Mastrotto.
Arzignano, Italy.

A family tannery in the valley where much of Italy's leather is tanned. The hides are finished with waxes and oils that leave the pores open.

Black-and-white photograph: two hands smoothing a large hide across a worn wooden cutting table, rolled hides beside it.

Press it.

The colour lightens around your thumb. That is the pull-up of an open, waxed hide.

A thumb presses into the Tuscan Cognac leather and it lightens to honey in a ring around it.

Fold it.

The crease turns a lighter honey, then settles back.

Two fingers fold over a corner of the Tuscan Cognac hide and the crease turns a lighter honey tone.

Six leathers. One hide.

Every colour is the same distressed full-aniline leather.
