A family tannery in the valley where much of Italy's leather is tanned. The hides are finished with waxes and oils that leave the pores open.

Press it.

The colour lightens around your thumb. That is the pull-up of an open, waxed hide.

A thumb presses into the Tuscan Cognac leather and it lightens to honey in a ring around it.

Fold it.

The crease turns a lighter honey, then settles back.

Two power headrests, one on each recliner. Fully raised, they bring the overall height to 39.8 inches (101 cm).

Recline both ends.

The two power recliners are the outer seats, with USB charging built in. Each footrest comes out in two parts: a full-width leg rest and a slim bolster below it.

Feet up, book open.

One of you can lean back while the other sits up. Fully reclined, the sofa is 61.4 inches (156 cm) deep. With the wall-hugging mechanism, the 3 seat needs just 9 cm (3.54 in) from the wall.
