Two shapes. A 35 inch disc of black ash veneer, and a fluted cylinder beneath it.
Bolzano has no legs and no stretchers. The drum is the only support, and the top overhangs it all the way round.
It stands 36.6 inches high. That is counter height, about the height of a kitchen counter, so it pairs with counter stools.

Move the slider to see the drawing beside the finished table.
Two shapes set the outline: a thin round top and a straight drum.
The top overhangs the drum all the way round. Nothing else holds it up.
The flutes stop just above a plain gold-toned ring that sits flat on the floor.
The round top is ash veneer on MDF, stained black. The grain shows through the stain, so the top reads as wood.
The fluted base is iron with a matte black powder coat. A gold-toned metal ring finishes the foot.
Ash veneer on MDF, stained black. The open grain stays visible.
A fluted drum in matte black iron. It is the only support under the top.
A plain metal ring at the foot, under the flutes.
Ash veneer, stained black. The open grain stays visible, under a low satin sheen.
The veneer leaves meet at the centre of the top, and the grain fans out from there. No two tables read exactly alike.
Narrow vertical flutes run the full height of the drum. They stop just above a plain gold-toned ring that sits flat on the floor.
No legs, no stretchers, no footrest. The whole base is one drum.
Limewashed walls, a paper pendant and a dark herringbone floor. The gold ring catches the warm light.
A bay window over the harbour. The table is small enough to stand in front of it with clear floor all round.
A table for a kitchen corner, a bay window or a small apartment. Two stools tucked in, two cups on the top.
Stools are not included. Choose counter stools with a seat height of 24 to 27 inches.
Want the same look at full dining height? Bardolino is the dining-height table of the same family: a 47.25 inch round that seats four.
Leave about 2 feet between the edge of the top and the nearest wall, so a stool can pull out.
A 35 inch round counter height table for two: black ash veneer on top, powder-coated iron below, a gold-toned ring at the foot.
