An arched headboard. One framed panel. A low footboard on tapered legs.
Sun on white walls. White linen, two pillows and a folded throw. Bolsena’s arched headboard frames the bed, and the low footboard keeps the room open.
An arched headboard. One framed panel. A low footboard on tapered legs.
Bolsena takes the traditional panel bed and leaves out the fuss. The crest rises in one gentle curve. Three short flutes mark each post. Everything else is flat, framed and calm.
Espresso gives it depth. White bedding gives it contrast.
The headboard is a single recessed panel with an arched top, held in a mitred frame between two square posts. A thin cap follows the arch and steps out past the posts. The footboard repeats the panel, low and wide.

The crest is a single gentle arch, with a soft turn at each shoulder.
Three short flutes on every post, head and foot. The only ornament on the bed.
The footboard posts run down into short square legs, tapered on the inside.
The frame is wood and MDF, as the maker lists it. Every face carries the same deep espresso finish, with a fine wood-grain look under a matte coat.
The coating wipes clean with a damp cloth.
The maker lists the frame as wood and MDF, an engineered wood. Ten wood slats carry the mattress.
A matte coating in espresso that resists scratches and wipes clean with a damp cloth.
Slats on a centre rail with support legs. No box spring needed.
The cap is thin and flat, and it follows the arch from post to post. At each end it stops square and steps out a little.
Three flutes run down each post. They catch the light from the side.
The footboard is one wide framed panel under a flat cap. Its posts carry on into short square legs.
Use an 8 to 10-inch mattress. Memory foam, latex and spring mattresses sit directly on the slats.
Limestone, lamplight and wide pine boards. The espresso deepens as the light goes.
White boards and a view of the fields. A dark bed anchors a pale room.
A dark frame and a white bed. That is most of the styling done.
Pair it with pale walls and light floors for contrast, or with warm wood and lamplight for a quieter room. In Full or Queen.
Leave room to walk past the footboard. The headboard stands about 45 inches tall, so check it clears a low window sill.
One arched panel, fluted posts and a low footboard, in espresso.
