Morning over the lake. White linen, an olive tree, a thick wool rug. Bassano sits low at the end of the bed, a long block of boucle on dark wood.
A thick seat. Two slabs of wood. Nothing else.
Bassano is 64 inches of loop-yarn boucle, cradled at each end by a flat rubberwood slab. Each slab rises into two short posts that hold the seat at its corners. A plain rail runs underneath, front and back.
Light Brown is warm and quiet. Beige is lighter. Dark Green goes deeper.
The seat is one upholstered block with rounded edges. At each end it sits down into a slab leg, and two posts rise to meet it. That is the whole idea.

The seat is a single long form, rounded at the ends. No tufts, no buttons, no seams across the top.
Small loops of polyester yarn give the seat its texture. In Light Brown, darker flecks run through it.

The seat is foam under a polyester loop-yarn boucle. The legs are rubberwood, a dense hardwood, stained a dark espresso brown. Inside the seat, the frame is engineered wood.

Up close, the yarn is a field of small loops. The post stands against the seat and the rail runs below it.
The edges are rounded all the way around. No hard corner at the end of the bed.
Each end stands on one flat slab with softened bottom corners. Two posts rise from it to hold the seat. Rails at the front and back tie the ends together.
The bench arrives in one box. Assembly takes about 15 minutes.
White brick, dark floorboards and two wall lights. At dusk the boucle turns warm.
Whitewashed stone and old pine boards. A place to sit and pull on your boots.
A bench at the foot of the bed gives the room an end point. It holds tomorrow's clothes, a folded blanket, or you for a minute.
Choose Light Brown for warmth, Beige to keep the room light, Dark Green for depth. The wood is the same dark brown on all three.
Bassano is a little longer than a queen mattress is wide (60 inches). Leave room to walk past it at the foot of the bed.
