The drum is covered in a chunky waffle knit: raised ribs make a grid of small square cells that runs all the way round, from the floor to the rolled rim.
The lid is a separate padded round, knitted in a finer, tighter weave. Lift it off and the drum is a storage bin, lined in light grey fabric.
At about 18 inches high it sits at sofa-seat height: a footrest, an extra seat, or a place for the throw you reach for every evening.
