The Amandola story

Crossed at each end.

A long top. Crossed legs. One beam.

The top is long and soft in outline. Its sides bow out a little and its ends are rounded. The edge is thin and bevelled underneath, so the top looks light.

At each end, two short arms rise to the top and two long legs splay to the floor, all from one crossing joint. A single beam runs between the ends, held by two round pegs at each end.
